Refer A Patient

Are you a medical professional (neurologist, geriatrician, psychiatrist) looking to refer a patient interested in research or would like an expert opinion? See below for further details.

  • Consider referring a patient if they have a suspected diagnosis of any of the following conditions:

    • Frontotemporal dementia (FTD)

    • Behavioural variant FTD (bvFTD)

    • Semantic dementia (SD / svPPA)

    • Progressive nonfluent aphasia (PNFA / nfvPPA)

    • Frontotemporal dementia with motor neuron disease (FTD-MND)

    • Corticobasal syndrome (CBS)

    • Progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP)

    • Alzheimer’s disease (AD)

    • Logopenic variant primary progressive aphasia (lvPPA; LPA)

    • Posterior cortical atrophy (PCA)

  • Send your referral via email (frontier@sydney.edu.au). Please include:

    • A summary of the patient’s medical history, presenting symptoms, and suspected diagnosis.

    • Copies of relevant investigations (genetic, blood tests, neuropsychological assessments).

    • Copies of relevant brain imaging (MRI, PET) along with radiology reports.
